The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory

After reading The Other Boleyn Girl (and thoroughly enjoying it), I was definitely up for another round with Henry VIII and his wives. I liked that it focused on the "relatively unknown" wives of Henry. It is written in a narrative-type format by three different women (Anne of Cleves (wife #4), Katherine "Kitty" Howard (wife #5) and Jane Boleyn (wife of George Boleyn - Anne & Mary Boleyn’s brother) all with different perspectives of the same events. Each woman is intriguing in their own way and their stories pull you in. Even if you are not very familiar with this period in time, like myself, you can still enjoy this book because the author does a good job at describing the background, filling in information and giving you tidbits of knowledge. It has intrigue, romance, murder, lust, betrayal, suspense, humor, irony.... I highly recommend it.
