Giveaway: My Name is Will; The Impostor's Daughter; Julie & Julia

Synopsis: "Utterly delicious, original, witty, hilarious and brilliant.Shakespeare In Love on magic mushrooms. The Bard has never been this much fun."-Christopher Buckley, author of Boomsday and Thank You For SmokingStruggling UC Santa Cruz grad student Willie Shakespeare Greenberg is trying to write his thesis about the Bard. Kind of. Having been cut off by his father for laziness, and desperate for cash, Willie agrees to deliver a single, giant, psychedelic mushroom to a mysterious collector, only to find himself a target in Ronald Reagan's War on Drugs.Meanwhile, would-be playwright (and oppressed Catholic) William Shakespeare is eighteen and stuck teaching Latin in the boondocks of Stratford-upon-Avon.The future Bard is asked to deliver a contraband box of sacramental wafers blessed by the Pope at a time when Catholics are being hanged, drawn and quartered as traitors. When 1980s Willie, cornered by DEA agents and one too many girlfriends, eats the giant mushroom at a Renaissance Fair, and 1580s William takes his first communion at his own shotgun wedding, their minds and stories merge--allowing each to become the fully-realized Shakespeare he is destined to be.

Synopsis: Laurie Sandell grew up in awe (and sometimes in terror) of her larger-than-life father, who told jaw-dropping tales of a privileged childhood in Buenos Aires, academic triumphs, heroism during Vietnam, friendships with Kissinger and the Pope. As a young woman, Laurie unconsciously mirrors her dad, trying on several outsized personalities. Later, she lucks into the perfect job--interviewing celebrities for a top women's magazine. Growing up with her extraordinary father has given Laurie a knack for relating to the stars. But while researching an article on her dad's life, she makes an astonishing discovery: he's not the man he says he is--not even close. Now, Laurie begins to puzzle together three decades of lies and the splintered person that resulted from them--herself.

Synopsis: Nearing 30 and trapped in a dead-end secretarial job, Julie Powell resolved to reclaim her life by cooking, in the span of a single year, every one of the 524 recipes in Julia Child's legendary Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Her unexpected reward: not just a newfound respect for calves' livers and aspic, but a new life--lived with gusto.

I have 5 copies of each book!

So here are the rules: Leave a comment for one entry. If you follow this blog or already are following leave me an extra comment for your second entry. Follow me on Twitter, another entry. (you guys know the drill)

Your entry is for all three books - although if you have a preference please mention that in your comment.

PLEASE make sure to leave an e-mail address - if not, I have no way of getting in touch with you if you do win. Books will be delivered directly from Publisher so giveaway is only available for residents of the US and Canada and no P.O. Boxes please. Winners will be drawn 7/24/09.

You are still in time for the other giveaways I'm hosting. Bound to Please and To Beguile a Beast (I've extended this one until Friday). Stand the Storm and A Summer Affair (also ends Friday); and Off Season and The Disappearance of Irene Dos Santos (ends 7/17/09). I'll have some other shorter giveaways scattered throughout the week and next week so keep an eye out for those.

And as always, Good Luck!
