Halloween is right around the corner!

I'm so excited - it's October 1! You know what that means, right? Halloween is 30 days away . I love Halloween - (ahem) my favorite holiday. My house is all spooked up - my kids have their costumes picked out and I'm ready to throw a bash. I plan on reading all the magical, mythical, supernatural, paranormal, horror (well you get where I'm going with this) books I can get my little hands on. So be on the lookout for creepy, gory and terrifying reviews all month long. {insert evil laugh} muah-hahahaha

With witches, werewolves, vampires, demons, ghosts, (I'm also throwing in some wicked fairies, killer unicorns, soul-less children, some zombies, maybe some sea monsters, Carpathians and, if I still have the time, even a Dark-Hunter or two), we should all get in that Halloweeny mood. I'll also try to have a couple of giveaways for spooky titles and maybe sneak in a Halloweeny recipe (but beware - I do not cook - so don't expect anything too complicated to make). So stay tuned! {wolf howls in the distance} :D

I'm thinking of making paper mache pumpkins :)

OH and the Florida weather is finally cooling down.
It was actually 64 this morning.

  4. Beth F - my kids have been after me for a month to decorate for Halloween. I finally broke down and did it last weekend - not to mention my house smells like candy corn :D I love it.

Juju- 64 degrees? That's awesome. The weather in Orlando is always so much nicer then over here. It's still super hot here. urgh Oh and I love paper mache pumpkins! Take pictures - I wanna see ;)

  5. Sounds eerie! I loved Halloween as a child, then went through a phase of not paying any attention to it, until I had kids.

    Then another long period without...

But then, a couple of years ago, I began collecting Jim Shore Halloween stuff, which made decorating fun. So thanks for the reminder! Time to get those things out of the closet...so to speak!

  7. Halloween is not really celebrated here, but I'd always wear a costume to work anyway!
