Manic Monday Recaps (Week 8/02/10)

Well hello my friends... I turn 32 today, it's Monday, and as of Friday, I'm unemployed... bleh. But, I'm looking at the brighter side. This means I now have more time to spend with the kids, to read, to take care of my home and... there's always unemployment. haha. Don't know how long I'll be unemployed, but hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) not very long. I'll keep you guys posted.

This weekend, the hubs and I were able to finally see Grown-Ups. I'm a big Adam Sandler fan and I really wanted to see this before it hit DVD. There's not much I can tell you other than that I loved this movie! Not only did it have a phenomenal cast... (see above picture), but it was uproariously funny, yet the morale to the story was deep and meaningful. I really liked it. Plus, the whole peeing in the pool thing almost made me pee, it was so funny. If you haven't watched it yet and are looking for something to just brighten your day, this is a flick you don't want to miss.

Here's what I plan on reading this week:

Last week I read the following:
- Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
- Sapphique by Catherine Fisher
- And One Last Thing by Molly Harper [review]

I reviewed the following:
- The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha [review/giveaway]
- Monster High by Lisi Harrison [review]

Last week I also had the opportunity of meeting authors Melissa De La Cruz and Ally Carter. What beautiful ladies. They were just so fun to watch and hear from. They answered every question their audience had and then some. After the tons of questions they then sat there and signed every book placed in front of them, took pictures, made jokes, and were just so courteous, pleasant and a joy to be around.

Here are some of the pictures I took for your viewing pleasure.

Here are Melissa and Ally (left to right) discussing their books and answering questions.

The ladies signing our treasures... their books.

And there you have it my lovelies. Have a great week and read everything you can get your little hands on, I know I will.
