How did you guys feel about the show last night? I was looking forward to it since the season finale earlier this year. But was it me or did the cheese factor go up a bit? I mean yes, I get that this is a show that is supposed to be cheesy. Because really, who has a conversation with a friend, turns around and breaks into song (well I have!?). But seriously! I think last night's episode was cheesy. Glee normally makes me feel happy with it's beautiful cast, bright colors and amazing songs. But last night just felt like I was listening to a Kidz Bop CD.
Did you feel the same way?
I've notice that usually happens with show. They start off so strong then the cheese factor comes in.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the dork in me still loved it, but I hope they don't over do it.
I watched it because I'm a huge Gleek, but I was a little disappointed, too. I mean, it was over the top before, but last night was just SO outrageous. I'll be honest though...the singing and dancing is still awesome though :)
ReplyDeleteI really did feel it was cheesy. I was embarrassed for all the characters frankly. I hate second hand embarrassment but I was feeling it big time last night.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you mention this, because I just had this conversation with a co-worker. I thought it was super cheesy in comparison to the other episodes. It seemed to me that they ran out of ideas or something. I hope things pick up as the season continues b/c it's one of my favorite shows!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, there was some serious cheesy moments last season too. I liked it, but I think everything that show does is gold!! I'm just so happy it's back on!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. What is with the sudden popularity of the Glee club, huh? Like, as far as I knew they were the nerds, right? So why are they suddenly super fabulous and popular? Why is their hair so nice and perfect? And why is Rachel the "mean-popular-girl"??
ReplyDeleteAnd why all the new people? I don't get it...?
I watch it for the cheese factor. And I love me some Brittany. "Everyone thought I went away for the summer, but really I was lost in the sewer system." Hahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteI get such a kick out of Glee. Part of its appeal is its ridiculousness. Every episode has its "Teaching Moment" and a huge cheese factor as well as something completely outrageous.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I wasn't the only one that was rather unimpressed with the first episode. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the show period, but I did enjoy the first season. This episode, though, I said exactly what you said. It's getting really cheesy!
