I have had the worst weekend ever! I was in bed all weekend with a stomach flu that, needless to say, sucked really bad. Even worse than that, I can't read when I'm sick. I don't know why, but I just can't concentrate long enough to really understand what's going on so I didn't get much reading done either... urgh.
I've decided to incorporate my version of the popular Mailbox Monday into my Manic Monday Recaps posts... it's more like Countertop Monday's since that's where I keep my books throughout the week so that I can stare at them in all their glory until the weekend when I finally grab them and stash them in my shelves. So from now on there will be a picture of their awesomeness along with where/who/how I acquired them.
I Am Ozzy by Ozzy Osbourne [audiobook] - Hachette Book Group
Marriage and Other Acts of Charity [audiobook] - Hachette Book Group
We the Children - Andrew Clements - Shelf Awareness
The Crazy School - Cornelia Read - Hachette Book Group
Drood - Dan Simmons - Hachette Book Group
The House of Tomorrow - Peter Bognanni - Shelf Awareness
Corked - Kathryn Borel - Hachette Book Group
Fairest - Gail Carson Levine - library
The Book of Lost Things - John Connolly - library
The Strain - Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan - library
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carrol - purchase
Here's what I plan on reading this week:
Last week I read the following:
- The Mark - Jen Nadol
- The Summer We Fell Apart - Robin Antalek
- Ecstasy - Jacquelyn Frank
- Ella Enchanted - Gail Carson Levine
- Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night - Kresley Cole
- Wench - Dolen Perkins-Valdez
- Dark Needs at Night's Edge - Kresley Cole
I reviewed the following:
- The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty - A.N. Roquelaure [review]
- A Kiss in Time - Alex Flinn [review]
- Lips Touch: Three Times - Laini Taylor [review]
- Alice I Have Been - Melanie Benjamin [review]
And there you have it. Although I did read 7 books last week - I had the chance to read at least 1 even 2 more over the weekend, but I just couldn't focus on them, so blah. Hope you all have a lovely week.
