It took me a while to get into, but once I did I devoured more than half of it in one sitting. I recently saw the movie for the first time, so I had a hard time getting the characters out of my mind as they were portrayed in the movie. For the first time, I actually liked the movie ending better than the book. It fell flat at the end for me. It was just far too descriptive in writing - yet enjoyable at times.

Thanks for the review. Although I saw the movie, I haven't yet read the book. It's buried somewhere under my Mt. TBR.
