[via We Heart It]I love the rusticness of the room, the scattered books in the shelves, but more than that, I love that the walls behind the shelves are blue. It makes the whole room pop. <3 Plus, did you all notice that window... blue. :)

I would never have thought to paint the back wall (or the back of the bookcase) a contrasting color! I love this room too!

I have a wall I want to make into a bookcase. This looks terrific!
The haphazard and crooked placement of the books will result in damage to the spines of the books. The books should be shelved so they don't lean.
