1. Why the heck did you come back this week to do this meme? I never have anything to post on Thursdays (LoL).

2. Ever whiten your teeth? Nope - I actually don't drink or smoke so they're in pretty good shape.

3. Do you drive the speed limit? No - and don't remind me (I have gotten a speeding ticket or three).

4. Did the dog eat your homework? I used this excuse at least once every school year. The funny thing about that, I didn't actually have a dog.

5. How many bites does it take to get to the center of a watermelon? I don't do watermelon - so I wouldn't know, but I'm sure a ton.

6. Did you eat paint chips as a child? Quite possibly. My mom caught me eating snails (what? escargot) right out the tree in backyard. Oh, don't even go there. I'm sure you've paid at least once in your life to eat escargot, I was getting them for free.

7. If someone rang your doorbell/knocked on your door at 1am, would you answer it? Yea, but only if I actually heard it. I'm a bit difficult to wake up in the middle of the night (or so I've heard from the husband).

8. "Amazingly Smooth" makes you think of what? something gooey or someone cool.

9. What was the last stupid thing someone said to you? (not counting this meme's questions) Can't remember - but I'm sure it came from my husband :D

10. Would you eat a stick of butter for $100? Ewwww.

11. Find the nearest fabric tab, not counting your clothing you are wearing. What does it say the object is made of and where was it made? Actually I'm at work - if I accost the nearest person to me for this they might punch me. So this is a N/A answer.

12. What is the strangest name you've ever heard someone name their child (or a person you met... however you want to answer it)? I'm still stuck on the whole Apple thing. Why? is all I have to say about that.

13. Why is some toilet paper really soft and others are really hard? Because the person who bought it is cheap. Yes, I like to buy expensive toilet paper... only the best for my a$s.

Thursday Thunks (4/30/09)

1. What color is your front door? Dark brown
2. We discussed our folks in previous TT so now tell me about your siblings. If you are an only child, tell me whether or not you wanted siblings, older, younger etc. I have two older - a brother and a sister and a younger brother (whom I am the closest to).
3. What color/type butterfly is your favorite? Sorry, not an insect lover. Not a butterfly lover, nor a dragonfly lover, nor a ladybud lover - you get the picture. I detest bugs.
4. Will you be celebrating Cinco De Mayo? Nope - although we might go out for .50 cent Corona's.
5. Oprah- love her, hate her, or don't care? She doesn't bother me any.
6. Are you worried about the spread of swine flu? Absolutely. I feel like I need to quarantine myself along with my family - like yesterday.
7. Hard or soft pillows? Hard (hehe)
8. How many trees are in your neighbor's yard? None. It's a new community - we got bushes though.
9. What was the color of the last car you saw? I don't remember getting to work this morning - much less the last car I saw.
10. When does your driver's license expire? 08/02/2012 - although it might be suspended for a ticket I paid late (story of my life). One time I drove around with a suspended license for like 3 years.

12. When you put your pants on, what leg do you put in first? Left - is that normal? Now I'm doubting myself. Wonderful.
13. How would you respond to this letter if you were an advice columnist.

I am an ugly woman. I was an ugly baby and child even! It is a fact. I am 36 now and I have never had a boyfriend, and I am still a virgin.

Due to me not having men in my life, I have poured everything I have in to education and my career. At 36 I am the youngest (and first female CEO) at a big, successful, tech company. I have over 200 personal patents and millions of pounds in investments.

I have everything: huge house, holiday villa in Spain, 3 cars, power boat, a race horse, etc. but as much I try to talk myself into everything being “great” I cannot help but to miss that special someone to share it all with.

Most of my friends are married with kids and I feel like I am gradually drifting away from them also.

Where can I find someone to marry an ugly woman?

Poor thing - hasn't she ever heard of plastic surgery? Sadly in today's world, a problem like this can be easily resolved with a couple of thousand bucks and a good plastic surgeon. If not, there's always Alaska. (OMG - I'm going to hell for this)

Thursday Thunks (4/23/09)

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color eggshell and the number 101.

1. If you could skywrite anything you wanted, what would it be? You are my sunshine.

2. Did you get drunk at your prom? Yes, but don't ask me about it, because I don't remember any of it.

3. What is your favorite spice to use cooking? Water - that's all that you need to make mac-n-cheese in the microwave. I don't cook.

4. What color is your roof? I believe it's a color called dirty. Underneath the soot I think it's red. I've been after the hubby for a while now to get it pressure cleaned.

5. In a land far, far away I was able to sleep in. I haven't been able to sleep in for a little over 3 years. Yes, that's my oldest daughter's age - she wakes up at the crack of dawn.

6. In the Miss USA pageant, Miss California was asked; "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?" and her answer was; "Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman," Carrie said to a mix of boos and applause. "No offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman." Do you think that cost her the crown? I have no idea, but I would guess that it did.

7. Do you watch Miss USA/Miss America pageants? No - thus I can't answer the question above.

8. Have you ever driven/ridden on a tractor? No - but I've always wanted to do that and sing "She Thinks My Tractor is Sexy" - then again, I'd probably fall off and get run over by the dang thing.

9. For the parents - what cartoon/children show did your child watch obsessively? (Hey, if you aren't a parent, maybe a niece or nephew...) OMG, really? Are we going there? I am an obsessive person (if y'all remember from last week's post) and my kids have come out with the same trait. If we watch Barney - we watch Barney for a whole month (the same one) over and over. This week it's the Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers ... yes, I know the words by heart. Just in case you were wondering.

10. If I set a level on your living room floor - would it show that it was level? Yes, I'm a perfectionist and I live in Florida. The only hills we have are trash piles.

11. What was the last restaurant you ate at? Chipotle. It's my new favorite thing.

12. What's the picture on your wall calendar for this month? My kids with milk mustaches.

13. Are you superstitious? Sometimes. But not really.

14. If I get into your car and turn on the radio - what type of radio station will I hear? None. It's a Dora DVD that I have playing for the kids. Yes, it's a minivan equipped with a tv so that the kids don't drive me to drink and drive.

15. Would you rather wake up with a snake in your bed or a lizard? Snake (winks) (snorts) (giggles)

16. Do you think schools have changed at all since the Columbine tragedy 10 years ago? In what ways? I believe so - at least we are now aware that something that terrible can happen. Before then, I personally had never seen or heard of anything like that happening in a school.

Thursday Thunks (4/16/09)

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color rainbow and the number 2.

1. Recently Berleen and I discovered the allure of the Twilight series. Have you ever been sucked in to the latest "thing"? (Like Harry Potter, the movie Titanic, social networking, etc. etc. etc.) I absolutely get sucked in by everything. I suffer a bit from OCD (self-diagnosed, of course). I get obsessive over everything. I don't ever want something... I NEED something! I can get pretty out-of-control at times.

2. What software do you use for your email? It depends what computer I'm using. Mostly I use Outlook.

3. Are you comfortable being nude? Nope. I don't think a lot of people are - yet you will catch me streaking around the house late at night.

4. What is something you plan on doing this summer? I plan on taking the kids to Walt Disney World (we do it every year) - one of the best things of living in South Florida; it's only a 4 hour drive.

5. Do you have a favorite movie/book quote? If so, what is it? Fave movie is Moulin Rouge. Fave quote from the movie: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

6. How many email addresses do you have? I have 5 e-mail addresses (see what I mean about the OCD)

7. Is the sky falling? Sure is.

8. Have you been to the Grand Canyon? Nope. I'm dying to go back to Vegas and take a tour and the Skywalk thingamajigger they did.

9. When was the last time you mailed a hand written letter? I can't even remember. I think it was while I was on my honeymoon (5 years ago) and it was to myself.

1. What was the last thing you ate? Two Krispy Kreme doughnuts (I was forced to eat them)

2. I say the color purple.. what do you think of? Barney (I watch Barney day and night - I dream of Barney)

3. Lamps or ceiling lights? Both

4. What color rabbit is your favorite? Chocolate... oh what, says who that it's not a color?

5. Your car breaks down on a deserted road and your cell phone has no signal - what do you do? Start walking - although this is the start of many scary movies

6. What is one thing most of your friends do online that you just can't understand the fascination and do not participate in? sadly Twitter - I just haven't gotten fully into it yet

7. What do you need right now? A drink! LoL

8. And your most serious injury you've had was....? I fractured my right elbow in three places (I looked like Robocop with this horrendous brace I wore for a couple of months)

Thursday Thunks (4/02/09)

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color yellow and the number 8554.

1. Did you play any April Fools jokes on anyone or have a joke played on you? No - although I did freak out when my radio station was talking about viagra being discovered yesterday and playing old freestyle music; then it hit me that they were fooling everyone by playing an old 1990's broadcast.

2. If you could be on any non-reality TV show as a guest star or star, which one would it be and why? Lost - because I love that damn show although I'm always lost.

3. Do you crack your knuckles? Sadly, yes. I know it can be annoying to some people, but to each its own dammit.

4. If you remember your first day of kindergarten, were you scared or excited? If you have kids or grandkids, were they scared or excited? I personally don't remember although I will say that I've always loved school so I don't think it's a big deal. My kids are still too little so don't have any experiences with school yet.

5. If you are in the shower, hear the fire alarm going off and smell smoke/see flames, will you just run out of the house with a towel on or grab some clothes & dress as you run out? Grab the towel. Knowing me, I'd run out of there naked.

6. Last week the Thursday Thunkers asked about your Daddy (twice), so this week tell us a little about your Mom. My mom is my hero.

7. Which search engine do you use most often? Google baby! I am quite the google expert. I actually took a seminar on it on how to make the most of my search.

8. Did you participate in Earth Hour? I'm a loser. I found out about Earth hour after Earth hour. I would have totally participated had I known about it beforehand.

9. What was the last new-to-you movie you watched? Was it in the theater or on DVD? Was it good? Marley & Me on DVD.

10. If you do something embarrassing, do you laugh it off, or sit & worry about it? I laugh it off. I can definitely laugh at myself.

11. Where is your favorite spot in your home to sit & relax? I have this fantastic recliner that I use to cuddle up under a blankie and read (sighs).

1. What is your favorite type of soda (if you drink soda)? Coca-Cola - yes I do drink a lot of Coke, there are times where I can actually say that I crave it.

2. Do you believe in astrology? If so, what does your sign say about you? I'm a Leo. That's as far as I know about astrology.

3. Who is John Galt? Who? Wait let me google.

4. What is the last thing you do before you go to sleep at night? I put my book down, turn off my light and snuggle the hubby.

5. Who's your Daddy? My husband likes to think he is.

6. Jelly beans or Jelly Bellies? Jelly bellies (Apple) yum.

7. What do you think about yellow car? Why do car manufacturers actually make yellow cars? I like yellow cars. If nothing else they stand out and you might actually avoid hitting it.

9. What kind of underwear, if any, do you wear? Pretty colorful ones.

10. Who is your daddy and what does he do? My dad is retired so he just sits home watching tv.

11. Spring - is it here yet?? In Miami, there is no spring. There is a slight winter and the there is summer the rest of the year.

15. Do you ever get tired of your everyday routine? yep - I wanna stay home and read (everyday - forever)

17. It’s springtime-do you spend more time outdoors? We do after the rains (which we normally get from April thru May) then it's fun in the sun. The beach, the park, etc.

20. Why do you blog? I like to read, I figure why not write about it.

21. What are electrolytes and why are they good for us? They keep you hydrated, right?

24. What is the strangest thing you've eaten? Aligator (ewww) actually it tasted pretty good until they told me what it was.

25. What was the last picture that you took? my kids this morning in the bathroom (and no they weren't using it) they were just standing on top of the toilet watching me brush my teeth
