Turbulent Sea by Christine Feehan

I can honestly say that anything Christine Feehan is fantastic in my book. I absolutely love anything by her and the tales of The Drake Sisters are fantastic. I was really looking forward to hear Joley and Ilya’s story and I can say that you will not be disappointed with one. This book really delivered! I loved that this couple was hinted at in previous books in the series and their chemistry was awesome. Well worth the LONG wait. I cant wait for the Elle’s story! Also, interesting how she inserted the fact that Ilya had 6 brothers who he hadn’t found yet.....another magic series but this with men? Cool!

Tropical Storm Fay

So I called in sick to work today. The weather is just horrible. And although we are supposedly under a Tropical Storm/Hurricane Watch... nothing is really happening other than that it's raining.

So I've decided to play hookie... yay me!

I'm doing nothing all day too. I'm just going to lie in bed all day and read. This is awesome. I dropped the kids off at my mom's early and finished the laundry and now am officially done and it's just 9:30a. I plan on reading a whole book today. I can't wait.

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

Thoughtfully written and clearly very well researched My Sister's Keeper was a somewhat harrowing read, but well presented and the topics raised within it were all relevant to today’s society. The internal struggles of Anna, her sister that she was born to save, and the slow destruction of her family unit are truly heart breaking in places. I found this to be a great introduction to Jodi Piccoult - and although I still haven’t read any of her other books they are definitely something I intend to read in the near future. This book was not an easy read, as the topic itself is very heart-wrenching, but nevertheless I found it enjoyable and thought-provoking. The last chapter had me crying my eyes out!

This book is a MUST READ, FIVE STARS, hands down!
