What book do you think should be made into a movie? And do you have any suggestions for the producers?
As you must already know, I love to read a book that was made into a movie. I love to read and then watch the movies or vice versa. Don't ask me why since I normally am not happy with the movie after I've read the book but I always try (if interested) to buy the book before I watch the movie.
I can really think up a list of books that I'd love to see turned into movies. Books with so much detail or such fantastical plost that I know I would love to see on the big screen:
The Host - Stephanie Meyer
Life of Pi - Yann Martel
Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro
The Little Giant of Aberdeen County - Tiffany Baker
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
The Thirteenth Tale -Diane Setterfield
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan - Lisa See
Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen
Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen
I can obviously keep going with this one. But these are just some of the one's that I could think of from the top of my head.
You certainly have provided an extensive list! My response is here:

I didn't even think about the Poisonwood Bible. That would be great if they did it well!
ReplyDeleteI'm game for Guernsey book. I read and listened to the audio, they might as well make a movie out of it!
ReplyDeleteGood suggestion on the Poisonwood Bible. I've posted mine at:

I think The Little Giant of Aberdeen County would be a great movie, The Help by Kathryn Stockett just came to mind too. I don't know about Life of Pi though - I don't know how they'd incorporate all of the details in a way that would match the tone of the book.
ReplyDeleteThere are some good ones on your list!
ReplyDeleteExcellent list! I think Thirteenth Tale could be great. And I loved Snow Flower, so I'd like to see that on the screen too.
ReplyDeleteThe Host would be great, but they would need to find the perfect actress to play two people in one body. Very tricky...
