my plans for the new year

It's a new year and, like many of you, I also have a couple of things I want to get accomplished throughout the year. Here is my plan of action:

- Read more! I read 208 books in 2009 - I want to read more than that in 2010.
- Don't buy so many books! I really don't have the space for them and my wallet is definitely suffering from my many trips to the bookstore or my late-at-night shopping sprees on Amazon.
- Use the library. This was one of the coolest things I did this year. Yep, I got me a library card. Why hadn't I ever thought of this before.
- Save money. (Massive fail this year) What? Ever heard of retail therapy? I practice this extensively.
- Go on a trip. Hopefully this will year will be the year we go on an Alaskan cruise. If nothing else, I'll settle for Disney World.
- Try to get two things knocked off my bucket list.
- Spend more time doing things with the kids. This may take away from some reading time, but so be it. They are getting big SOOOO fast.
- Work out. Trim down. And look and feel as HAWT as I think I do in my mind. :p
- The rest is simple... be the best I can be, do the most I can do, and LIVE it up.

Happy New Year to each of you and all your families. Any resolutions?

I think I spent more money than ever on books this year too. A lot of the books I want to read are new releases Christian Fiction and our library just does not have them.

Amen to the things on your list, especially the one about using the library more.

I used to do that! I still love the feel and SMELL of libraries.

Also, I still have 144 or so books on my TBR stacks to weed through.

Happy New Year!!

My whole goal is to get more organized with writing. Each year, it seems like I work on an area in my life. This year, it's writing. As for the rest, I'd like to not stress so much about every little thing.

Love your goals....Happy New Year!

I'm such a retail therapy addict! It didn't help that the last three years the majority of my shopping HAD to be done online because we lived the "sticks".

Way to go on all those books read! It's really amazing when you put the page count together, that just blows me away! Wow!

Happy New Year! And here's to hoping we both do a bit better in the pocket book area. :o)

I, too, am very guilty of indulging in retail therapy. This year I really need to save my cash, though. The only plastic card that I should be using extensively in 2010 should be my library card. Hopefully. I have run out of space to keep any more books at the moment. O_o
